Recommended Health Screenings by Age
There are a number of recommended screenings that can help women maintain their health at any age.
For women between the ages of 18 and 40:
- Monthly Breast Self –Exam
- Yearly Screenings for

- Blood Lipid Levels
- Blood Pressure
- Physical
- Dental Exam
- Pap Smear and Pelvic Exam ( every 1-2 years)
- Have your skin health assessed every three years.
- Have your cholesterol checked every five years.
- Hearing checks every 10 years
- A thyroid test should be done at age 35 and then every five years.
- Have your eyes examined before the age of 40.
For women between the ages of 41 and 50:
- Monthly Breast Self –Exam
- Yearly Screenings for

- Blood Lipid Levels
- Blood Pressure
- Physical
- Mammogram
- Dental Exam
- Pap Smear and Pelvic Exam ( every 1-2 years)

Screen every three years for Skin Health and Blood Sugar Levels (Diabetes).

Screen every five years for
- Cholesterol
- Thyroid
- Hearing checks every 10 years
- Bone Density Test (osteoporosis) at menopause and then as recommended by your physician.
- Colonoscopy at age 50 and then as recommended by your physician.
For women between the ages of 51 and 65:
- Monthly Breast Self –Exam
- Yearly Screenings for

- Dental Exam
- Pap Smear and Pelvic Exam ( every 1-2 years)
