Lupus Self Help Group

Affiliated with the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., Western New York Chapter.  Founded on the belief that it is helpful to share with others who understand lupus from first-hand experience.  Members lean that as they give help, they receive help.  The major objective of the group is to provide a warm and caring meeting environment where people with lupus, family members and/or friends can share their experiences, methods of copying, and insights into living with a chronic illness. Led by a person/persons who are trained by LFA of WNY to utilize small group process skills in facilitating the group to provide support and education to the members of the group. Open discussion, educational and motivational speakers and social events are all possible activities for the group meetings throughout the year.
